Sarah Teal Axelrod’s latest piece for Aphrodite Press pairs the mundane task of cutting grass with a hidden tension of feeling life, so deeply, almost to the point of pain.  The rhythm of the haiku mirrors a mower passing back and forth in a relentless loop, like a repetitive thought the reader cannot escape.
